These 5 smooth side ACF 48 Seat Diners were delivered to Pennsylvania Rail Road in '39 as part of 15 cars built for the "Fleet of Modernism."  PRR ordered 5 cars from each manufacturer...ACF, Budd, and Pullman, as a test of their abilities.  The ACF cars were numbered 4507 to 4511.
