These 11 ACF Smooth Side 12 Roomette/4 Bedroom Sleepers were delivered to Union Pacific in ealy '50.  Identical cars were built for Wabash and C&NW.  All were originally assigned to the "City of Portland/St.Louis."  In '65, all 11 UP cars and 1 Wabash car were rebuilt into 11 Double Bedroom cars mainly for use on the "City of Los Angeles."  The window arrangement appears to have been kept the same.  Originally the cars were the "Western" series.  After rebuilding, they were given the "Sun" series names.  All were retained by UP.
