These 8 PS Fluted Side 5 Bdrm Buffet Lounge Observations were delivered to C&O in August '50 for use in general service. Shortly after delivery, 4 of the cars were sold to B&O, which sold 3 to Amtrak in '71 and one to Long Island.
Three of the remaining cars were converted to Dormitory Diners in '51, and one became a business car and was retired in '67.
