These 16 PS Fluted Side 56 Seat Coach/Smoking Lounges were delivered to the Maine Central and Boston & Maine for use on the "Kennebec," "Pine Tree," and "Flying Yankee." The MEC cars were numbered 240 to 247 and were named, in order: Alamoosook, Webhannet, Katahdin, Parmachenee, Sagadahoc, Abenaki, Kineo, and Passamaquoddy. The B&M cars were numbered 4800 to 4807 and were named, in order: Bobolink, Robin, Humming Bird, Black Bird, Blue Bird, Oriole, Chicadee, and Snow Bird. The B&M cars were sold to Wabash in '57 and became N&W after their merger. Four of these went on to NJDOT in '68 and were retired in '74. All of the MEC cars went ot Missouri Pacific in '60 and were retired in '69, all being sold after that...mostly to Mexico.
