These 5 sets of PS Articulated Kitchen-Dormitory & Diners were delivered to Union Pacific in mid '37 for use on "The Challenger."  They were delivered in coach green and black with dulux gold lettering and the train logo in red.  Later they were painted the standard UP colors.  Initially the sets were numbered 5100 to 5104.  Later, each car was given a consecutive 5100 number.  Articulated kits are challenging to model, as they require shortening two core kit roofs and floors and fashioning the articulation joints, none of which is included.
