These 16 PS Fluted Side 68 Seat Divided Coaches were delivered to Rock Island in early '47 for use in general service. The cars had vestibules at both ends and had 2 sets of restrooms for use in states that had segregation laws. The cars were numbered 323 to 338 and were named after cities along the route, such as Wichita, Des Moines, Lincoln, Dallas, etc. "Hot Springs" and "Denver" were destroyed in wrecks. 9 cars were sold to NJDOT in '68. In '71, 2 were sold to metals dealers and 2 to Mexico. "Des Moines" was retired in '79 and retained by the railroad.
