These 2 PS Fluted Side Parlor Buffet Dayroom Observations were delivered to Rock Island in late '47 for use on the "Rockets."  It had 34 parlor seats and a 4 seat dayroom.  They were named and numbered:  456 "Nebraska" and 457 "Great Lakes."  They were reconfigured to 30 parlor seats and a buffet in '57, and redesigned for mid-train use.  Both were retired in '71 with one going to Stainless Processing and the other to a private party.
