These smooth side Pullman Standard Tavern Lounge cars were delivered to Southern Pacific in '49 for use on the "Shasta Daylight." They ran until '55, when SP built their own Dome Lounge cars. Of the 2 cars, both were converted to 86 seat coaches in '63, then in '73 one went to Amtrak and later to Rail Service Industries, the other was scrapped.
