These 2 PS Fluted Side Coach Dormitory Baggage cars were delivered to D&RGW in '50. They were originally ordered by C&O, but were bought from PS when C&O decided not to take delivery. Almost immediately, Rio Grande rebuilt the cars by removing 8 coach seats and adding a crew dormitory section. They blanked out one large window towards the baggage end on each side, and added two small windows for the dormitory section on one side, and one small window on the opposite side. Rio Grande kept the cars through the "Rio Grande Zephyr" era, and on into post Amtrak ski train service.
