These 2 Budd Fluted Stainless Steel Kitchen/Bar/Lounge Cars were delivered to the Pennsylvania Railroad in early '52 for use on the "Congressionals." They had a 21 seat lounge area that primarily served cocktails to Parlor Car passengers while waiting for a seat in the diner. These cars were sister cars to the full length diners and were the kitchens for those cars. Pennsy designated the cars as DL85d and numbered 4625 and 4627. They were scrapped in '68 and '70.
